This is a question that I get a lot from anyone who knows that I am pregnant. As the first trimester draws to a close, I am feeling so much better than I have been. It was so hard to believe that I would EVER get to the second trimester, especially when I was feeling so sick and when I knew something could go wrong with the baby so early on. Now, I can almost see the second trimester (there are currently less than 200 days before my due date – how cool is that?!).
As for how I am feeling, the nausea has subsided and all I am feeling is pure exhaustion. Honestly, I am tired all the time, yet sleeping is rather uncomfortable. I wake up so much during the night, both to pee and to readjust my sleeping position. I try to nap most afternoons. So far I have been most successful on the couch with the TV on. It helps me zone out somehow. The phone has been my worst nemesis and seems to ring as soon as I finally fall asleep. There is no way I can nap after that.
I worry about going to work now, because I know I will get so tired at a certain point. I just need to get through it though. I have been told that you feel awesome during the second trimester, so I’m almost there.
Until then, I’m just going to go back to bed.
