Today is Labour Day. The end to a weekend of camping, a summer of camping, when I was a kid. A day of returning home, packing the stiff, new backpack, laying out those pristine, new, back-to-school clothes that have been unworn, waiting for this very occasion. A day of excitement. Nervousness. Anticipation. Anxiety. A new grade. A new year. Restart. Refresh. New opportunities. New perspectives.
I love it. It is like a big breath of fresh air.
Today marks the end of summer, the end of vacation. The beginning of fall. A return to routine. A return home.
Although taken about a week ago, this seemed appropriate for today.
I recently had the luck to run across this, a little gem from my life before kids. It isn’t extensive but it is hilarious and a reminder of what life was like back then. I would so like to incorporate some vlogs into the Mommy Miracles experience, so I’m going to try it out and see if it sticks.
If you’re a You Tuber, make sure you head on over to my Mommy Miracles channel and Subscribe! I would love to connect with you over there too!

It was a REALLY lovely day for a drive. Absolutely beautiful.
I think that is one of the coolest parts about videoing our life. You get to see the kids’ personality a bit more. Cam was totally hamming it up for the camera, but that’s one of the reasons he’s so great! :)

Loved this! Oh, talk radio puts me to sleep. Nothing better than a roadtrip, fries, and lots of Timmies coffee!

We just got a new van. I insisted on dual zone temperature control to keep my marriage sane. But realistically, we need dual zone radio control! My go-to radio is CBC Radio 1 with NPR (when we have satellite) and a local talk radio station being close seconds. Drives my husband crazy! :)

Re the old vlog, I’ve been wanting those marshmallow squares for a while too… but I don’t have a good recipe. Peanut butter ones are good, and so are chocolate. yum.

I have a cookbook with a good simple recipe in it. Now… if only I could FIND said cookbook. I have done a brief look around, but my husband has recently rearranged all the books and put some in storage, so it might be no where to be found. Or, it might be in my bedroom, which is currently off limits because of the sleeping baby.
I *think* it is in the Company’s Coming Squares cookbook. If I find the recipe I will be sure to give it to you.
