I’ve tried to work out before. Do you know what has always been my downfall? Getting sick. Each and every time I get myself into a routine, sickness strikes and I fall out of it, never really getting back into the swing of things.
Do you remember what I have been dealing with during this past two weeks? That’s right – an awful cold.
Do you know what that meant for my work out routine? Yup, I haven’t worked out in almost two weeks.
Being signed up for my stroller-fit class was the only thing that helped me get over my rut because otherwise, I probably would have conveniently forgotten about working out and being healthier. But instead, after missing last week’s stroller fit class, I woke up yesterday morning, got Cameron and myself ready, tossed the stroller into the trunk and worked my butt off.
Tonight, Jillian Michael’s and I have a date.
Week 1: 165 lbs 12 oz
Week 2: 165 lbs 2 oz
Week 3: 164 lbs 10oz
Week 4: 163 lbs 9 oz (loss of 1 lb)
Week 5: 163 lbs 12 oz
Week 6: 163 lbs 9 oz
Week 7: sick
Week 8: 162 lbs 4 oz (loss of 1 lb!)
Over the weekend, Cameron and I were hanging out with my sister and her friends for her bacelorette party. We decided to allow Cameron to try walking on the grass, barefoot. Is there anything better than letting your toes wiggle freely in the crisp, fresh, summer grass under a warm sun?
Apparently, Cameron wasn’t too sure. (That last picture is actually a scrunchy-faced cry).

Actually – that's in total – a 3.8 lb loss from your highest…which is to be celebrated! Imagine all those firsts for Cameron and what he must be experiencing. That little mind takes in so much in these first years. And Molly 15! By this time of the day she was already a few hours old and many of the family were there to greet her – and you and Amy were battling chicken pox as I recall! Love you all and am glad you are all part of the world. I spoke to Molly and Dad last night – they were in the northern part of Oregon and trying to get a couple more hours under their belt before they stopped for the night. I wished her a Happy Birthday then…she sounded a bit sad – but I imagine it was tiredness. Can't wait to see them.
