Can you believe how long it took me to realize that yesterday wasn’t Thursday?! Yesterday’s blog post was the first in a weekly update called “Thinner Thursday”. Obviously, I intend for these to be posted on Thursday. And believe me – I thought I was following through on my plan. When I woke up yesterday morning I thought “Today’s Thursday! Better weigh in before I fill up with food for the day!”. As I was driving to see my Dad in New Brunswick I was planning what I would write when I got home late that evening.
Hubs came home from work a little early today. I started thinking about how nice it would be to have him home for the rest of the weekend. But wait…. I have a Mommy Date tomorrow (Friday). But, I did my Thursday blog post yesterday. If yesterday was Thursday and tomorrow is Friday, then what is today?! I was beyond confused.
Apparently this is what happens when you no longer wake up every morning and count down the days until Friday. I don’t have to date any documents or make any meetings. My life is planned out on a big family calendar that we have hanging up in our kitchen. I need to make an appointment for the car, a dentist appointment for me, and a doctor’s appointment for Cameron within the next month, but there is nothing coming up that I need to worry about. When the calendar isn’t in front of me, I’m about as oblivious to the date as Cameron is!
Speaking of both Cameron and the weekend, I’ve been realizing that my little boy is growing up super fast and will soon be too big for the heirloom cradle that he currently sleeps in. The Hubs thinks it is about time to move him into the nursery, but I’ve been reading lately that it is recommended that babies sleep in their parent’s room until 6 months old. And let’s be honest: I’m not ready to move Cameron out of the bedroom just quite yet.
This means that we’re going to have to find a new place for Cameron to sleep as an intermediary between his cradle and his crib. I am thinking of using our pack n’ play, although it is so much bigger than the cradle. This means that this weekend I have to do some major bedroom cleaning to make room. Being a stay-at-home Mom, I still haven’t fully grasped taking care of a child while getting things done around the house. So, it is much easier to contemplate a major cleaning job when Dan is here to help take care of Cameron.
So, wish me luck. Getting big projects done around the house is never easy with a newborn.

My kids are 2 and 8 months and I still can't manage to get things done most days so don't feel bad haha Once they get older and you no longer need nap time for a nap you tend to use it to clean
