Today, Cameron and I had a quiet day at home. We even got to nap together again (although do you really call it a nap at 7pm?). The weather was kind of lousy, so we didn’t go out. I did manage to do my second day of Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred workout DVD this morning. I usually only find time to work out at night after Cameron’s in bed, so I am really enjoying relaxing tonight.
Yesterday I started my Stroller Fit class. The weather could not have been better (which is nice, because it is an outdoor fitness class that goes on rain or shine). I really enjoyed it. The instructor is nice and pushes you to your limits without making you feel embarrassed if you are having a hard time. She is an advocate of listening to your body. She told us that if we feel like we couldn’t do something any more, do it for a few seconds longer and then stop. Cameron loved when I did the walking lunges while pushing him in the stroller. He was sure it was a game of peek-a-boo.
So, this week I made a real effort to work out. I worked out four days total, and my goal this week is to beat that.
Without further ado, here is this week’s weigh in.
Week 0: 164 lbs
Week 1: 165 lbs 12 oz
Week 2: 165 lbs 2 oz
How depressing – I actually have to keep track of the ounces now so that it looks like I lost something. Sigh. I find working out to be so discouraging. I have never been able to loose weight before. I know, I just have to keep at it.
But, at least I lost 10 oz. That is close to my goal of a pound a week. Let’s hope for bigger losses in the future.
Since today was a lazy Thursday, I didn’t take any pictures of Cameron. I know, I suck. But, since I had my Stroller Fit class yesterday, and since we are looking forward to the sun tomorrow, here is a sunny stroller picture taken last week.

Hey Laura,
Goodluck on your weight loss journey. I wouldn't beat yourself up too much… I would enjoy your fancy coffees and treats a while longer as once Cam is on the move you will have no choice but to watch the pounds fall off as you chase after him. And lifting big bubba's in and out of strollers, car seats, bath etc is a work out itself! And as far as Dan goes… nothing about a Mum body that candle light and lingerie can't fix! You are a beautiful Mum and I enjoy reading about your journey :)
