I kid you not, our bedding set (sheets, comforter, pillow cases) were purchased at a drugstore. They were purchased before we were married for my husband’s queen sized bed. When we got married we decided that it was only marginally better than my purple and pink swirly bedding set that I had for my double bed in university.
The bed that we sleep in now is a double bed. Yup, I said double. We inherited a relatively new mattress and a gorgeous bedroom set from my grandparents. Plus, Dan’s previously mentioned queen sized bed was old and broken. So, we have used the drugstore queen sized sheet set on our double bed. I’ve never been happy with it.
Let me interject for a moment to tell you that I love Superstore. Especially the great big Superstores that have a Joe’s clothing section and a section for all your household needs as well as a bunch of groceries. Go for groceries, come home with clothes, books, camping gear, towels and an iron.
So, today, I was grocery shopping with Cameron at one of these Great Big Superstores, and I happened to be in the Bed and Bath section (because we needed a new shower curtain). While I was there, I saw sheet sets ON SALE. I picked up an 8 piece set (comforter, sheet, fitted sheet, dust ruffle, 2 pillow cases and 2 pillow shams) for way less than $100. As a bonus, I was able to pick a design that Dan would like too.
Going to bed in clean and fresh sheets is such a wonderful feeling. Going to bed in a brand new sheet set is even better!
Now, onto my weekly weigh in.
Week 0: 164 lbs
Week 1: 165 lbs 12 oz
Week 2: 165 lbs 2 oz
Week 3: 164 lbs 10oz
Yup, I only lost about half a pound, but you know what? I’m not discouraged like I was last week. I’m not discouraged anymore because I actually lost something and I really didn’t try very hard this week. I was so discouraged from last week that I only did about two days of workouts.
This, believe it or not, gives me the push I needed to work harder at loosing weight. When you work really hard and see no results it gets discouraging. But when you get results from little effort, you realize how much better things could be if you worked harder!
So, here I go again, getting back on the bandwagon.
Picture of the Day:
Cameron has rolled over a few times – always from belly to back, and even that has been rare. Sometimes he gets on his belly and he gets ridiculously frustrated because he can’t turn over, even though he tries real hard. What Cameron has not yet done is roll from his back to his belly.
Until today.
Cam was laying on the middle of my bed when I was getting dressed. He was on his back one minute, and the next, he was on his belly.
Then, he rolled BACK OVER!
I only grabbed my camera after he had rolled onto his belly, but I shot these before and after he rolled back onto his back.

Glad things are going so well Laura! :)
